Applying frameworks to specific age ranges

Frameworks come with age ranges already set, using default values. You can change these and apply your school’s own specific age ranges to frameworks.

Note: Before setting your default frameworks, it is important to check the age range for each framework you are using to ensure it covers the full age range you will use the framework for. You may use Early Steps for most students till the end of reception, but might use it for some students into Year 1 or even Year 2, make sure the age range for Early Steps is high enough to allow students in Year 2 to be on the framework.

To change the start and/or end age of a framework

1. Navigate to Assessment Files in My BSquared.
2. Click the Edit icon next to the framework whose start and / or end age you want to amend.

The Edit Framework window opens.

3. Use the up and down arrows next to the Start Age and / or End Age to amend the age.
4. Click Save.

The amended age appears in the Start Age / End Age column(s).
