Using Evisense and Connecting Steps Together
Evisense as an evidence for learning platform
Evisense is a powerful, easy to use tool for schools to store and showcase events from a child’s time with them. The easy-to-use app makes it so simple to capture photos and videos, add comments, link to assessment content and share with parents. Evisense is designed to be used throughout a child’s education.
Evisense and Connecting Steps work together. They share users, groups and students making it easier to manage. In Connecting Steps, the orange camera icon highlights which skills have evidence linked to them, showing the number of posts with evidence. If there is evidence, clicking on the camera icon allows you to view the evidence.
The Evisense app is a great way to capture what is going on in the classroom and the students' achievements. It is easy to create a post featuring multiple photos and videos, add your comments, tag the student(s) and then link the post to the skills within Connecting Steps. You can also assess the students from within Evisense, automatically updating Connecting Steps.
Evisense as a parental engagement tool
Evisense is more than just a tool for collecting and sharing evidence for learning. Evisense is a powerful school-parent communication hub. Featuring a simple, easy to use social media style interface, Evisense is a great way to boost parental engagement to improve pupil outcomes.
Staff, students and parents can use the website or the Evisense app to create posts or respond to posts. Schools have lots of control around how they will use Evisense, which of the many features they will implement and what access they will give to parents.
Evisense features multiple post types to help organise and streamline communication. Users can view all the different posts types together in their feed or filter to a specific post type to find the information they want. Post types include evidence, learning opportunities, pupil voice, wow moments and home school diaries.
