Setting age ranges for frameworks

When setting up your frameworks, it is important to set the Start Age and End Age for each framework. This is to ensure that the frameworks are available to all of the students that you wish to assess on them.

  1. Navigate to the Assessment Files v5 screen. You will see the list of frameworks you are using.
  2. Check the ages in the Start Age and End Age column.
  3. To edit, click on the pencil icon in the Edit column. The Edit Framework modal opens.
  4. Use the up and down arrows next to the ages to set correctly.
  5. Click Save.

If you edit the Start Age and End Age, you then need to reset your default frameworks.

  1. On the Assessment Files v5 screen.
  2. Click on the blue Set Default Frameworks for your school button. The Default Frameworks window opens, displaying a Gannt chart that shows you the full age range for which each framework is available. You can see the age range along the bottom of the chart. Beneath the Gantt chart is a list of the different age ranges the system has identified based on your framework age settings.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to the required age range. A drop down list is activated in the Default Framework column.
  4. Select the framework you want to associate with that particular age range.
  5. Use the Split button to split preset age ranges and apply different frameworks to each section of the age range.
  6. Click Save and then OK.

Note: It is also advised to check your students' Date of Birth to ensure the ages are calculated correctly. Incorrect DOBs can put the students outside of your framework age ranges.
